Singha Cement was established in Colombo - Sri Lanka in 1998 as a cement import and handling company catering for the local Sri Lanka Market. Singha Cement owns a bulk storage facility located close to the port equipped with truck loading and bagging facilities. Cement is imported in bulk form then shuttled to the facility using Singha Cement's own silo truck fleet. Singha Cement employs about 150 people at its offices, and storage and transportation facilities. Average import quantity is 240,000 metric tons increasing annually. In 2001, Ciments Francais purchased a majority share in ICT. |
